I've been a fitness fanatic/gym rat since high school and working out is my "happy place." I believe God fearfully and wonderfully made our bodies and they are His best creation! I began my career in the fitness industry as a group exercise instructor in 2003. After 2 years of teaching classes, I became a personal trainer. Then came 2 kids and a move to Vista. I continued to teach boot camps at the park and train out of my garage until 2013. I took a break from training to pursue other paths but came back to this first love in 2020. I believe fitness and nutrition go hand in hand- it's difficult to achieve optimal wellness with only one part of the equation. My love of cooking comes from a Chinese mother who makes any type of meat, seafood, or vegetable taste great! My husband and two kids are guinea pigs for all kinds of healthy creations. I hope to instill my passion for exercise and healthy eating in all my clients!
Our bodies were designed to move in so many different ways! Functional exercises that mimic everyday life movements can tone our bodies and help prevent injury. Your own bodyweight can be enough of a challenge all by itself! I believe balance, flexibility, and strength are all important components of fitness. At Bigger Picture we will be using many types of training tools in combination with state-of-the-art machines to help you achieve your goals. I love to make workouts fun, different, and challenging every time we train together!
